A growing, Houston-based professional services firm, G&A Partners is currently seeking a Benefits Account Manager to join its team near the G&A satellite office located in South Jordan, Utah.

Summary:

The Benefits Account Manager works to explain benefits, answer questions and worksite employee inquiries during enrollment, and manage the accounts to ensure that clients remain happy with our service.

Responsibilities

  • Meets with clients, discusses benefit options, solicits quotes, presents alternatives, conducts open enrollment, leads through the underwriting process.
  • Researches, analyzes, and evaluates corporate benefit plans and programs.
  • Monitors benefit trends in the business environment and must stay abreast of applicable benefits legislation.
  • Serves as an SME in Benefits concepts, practices, and procedures. Provides benefits consulting services to employers ranging from 2 to 10,000 employees in metropolitan markets.
  • Manages renewal cycle and client servicing with key departments.
  • Maintains strong relationships with small group and mid-market sales representatives and account executives from all major insurance companies.
  • Familiar with all lines of coverage including, but not limited to: Medical, Dental, Life/AD&D, Voluntary Life/AD&D, Short Term Disability, Long Term Disability, Vision, Supplemental, and GAP.
  • Travels up to client locations to conduct open enrollment meetings.

Other Duties:

  • May lead and direct the work of others.
  • Conducts carrier meetings when needed.
  • Organizes Health Fairs for worksite employees of clients.
  • Communicates effectively with small and large businesses.
  • Makes presentations to large and small groups.
  • Other duties as assigned by manager

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelors’ degree in a related field.

Skills & Experience:

  • At least 5 years of benefit-related experience.
  • Experience with multiple insurance plans is preferred.
  • Previous PEO experience is preferred.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Certifications/Licenses:

  • Life and Health License required.
  • Must complete ACA certification within 18 months
