A growing, Houston-based professional services firm, G&A Partners is currently seeking a Workers Comp Policy Management Specialist to join its team at the corporate office located in Houston, TX, or in a fully remote setting for the right candidate.

Summary

Responsible for all aspects of workers’ compensation policy management on behalf of G&A and its clients.

Responsibilities

  • Manages workers’ compensation policies by
    • Oversees the administration of workers’ compensation policies.
    • Ensures administered policies remain in force and in good standing.
    • Updates the customer relationship management system with all workers’ compensation policy information for assigned clients.
    • Ensures tasks are assigned for each assigned client in the customer relationship management system.
    • Completes applications for workers’ compensation policy renewals, when needed.
    • Ensures all submission documents, including applications and all supporting documents, are timely submitted.
    • Submits payroll reports to carriers as required per the terms of each policy for each individual workers’ compensation policy requiring such.
    • Ensures all premium invoicing is completed each month in a timely fashion for each individual workers’ compensation policy requiring such.
    • Submits policy changes to the broker/carrier.
    • Works with auditors to complete all required policy audits.
    • Assists with the cancellation of workers’ compensation policies when needed.
    • Assists the payroll department in addressing payroll system errors relating to administered workers’ compensation policies.
  • OCIPs – Handles all aspects of Owner Controlled Insurance Programs.
    • Completes OCIP enrollments for both client and G&A.
    • Properly records and tracks all active OCIPs.
    • Completes monthly/annual OCIP payroll reporting for both client and G&A.
    • Completes all OCIP project close out documents.
  • Completes workers’ compensation code audits of clients.

 

Other Duties:

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

 

Skills & Experience:

  • 2+ years insurance agency/broker experience. (Preferably in an account manager role.)
  • Excellent organizational skills.

Computer Skills:

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Able to work with various software applications. (Experience with CRMs a plus.)
