A growing, Houston-based professional services firm, G&A Partners is currently seeking a Claims Analyst to join its team at the corporate office located in Houston, TX.

 

Summary

Responsible for ensuring all G&A Partner co-employees, who are legitimately injured while performing work in the interest of their employer, receive appropriate medical care in order to return them to a productive work status while minimizing the financial impact of those losses.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for managing all aspects of work-related claims from inception to conclusion.
  • Works with the Claims Analyst Assistant to ensure all claims are entered properly into the claims management system.
  • Investigates all work-related claims to ensure legitimacy.
  • Reports claims to company’s workers’ compensation carrier when necessary.
  • Assists in coordinating and authorizing medical treatment for the injured employees.
  • Ensures post-accident drug testing is completed for injured employees when permissible.
  • Coordinates medical treatment for the injured employee.
  • Completes three-point contact (client, treating doctor & injured worker) on all claims, where appropriate.
  • Provides assistance to employees/supervisors/managers with completion of necessary workers’ compensation forms.
  • Obtains injured worker and/or witness statements, when needed.
  • Investigates and pursues subrogation opportunities where possible.
  • Ensures all medical bills payments are processed timely

Other Duties:

  • Provides workers’ compensation carrier with necessary forms (ie, wage statement, return to work, etc.)
  • Maintains a diary system to review all open claims on a periodic basis.
  • Participates in quarterly file reviews with the workers’ compensation carrier.
  • Invoices clients for medical expenses incurred per the medical payment provision outlined in the client’s contract.

Qualifications

Education:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum one (1) year of claims handling experience required.
  • Good grammatical and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, set priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Good customer service, interpersonal, teamwork, and organizational skills.

Computer Skills:

  • Able to work with various software applications is required.

Certifications/Licenses

  • A current workers’ compensation claims adjuster license a plus.

Salary

Starting wage is $24.04 - $26.44 per hour.

The starting range represents the low and high end of the G&A Partners’ range for this position. Actual wages will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of G&A’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include commissions, annual bonuses, and program specific rewards. In addition, G&A Partners provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability, flexible spending, ancillary benefits, retirement savings plan, paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO).
