A growing, Houston-based professional services firm, G&A Partners is currently seeking an HR Data & Support Specialist to join its team at the corporate office or G&A satellite office located in Houston, TX or South Jordan, UT.

 

Summary

The HR Data Support Specialist is responsible for entering, auditing, and maintaining highly confidential employee data within all systems. This role involves completing various HR processes and ensuring data accuracy. The position also requires providing exceptional customer service by delivering HR solutions to clients through multiple communication methods, including phone, or email. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, with strong communication, customer service, and HR skills, while maintaining accuracy and meeting production goals. They will collaborate closely with internal teams to provide superior HR-related support and develop strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. The role demands a high level of attention to detail, the ability to manage sensitive information, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service.

Responsibilities

  • Supports clients and worksite employees with a wide range of HR requests, which may include but not limited to: background checks, drug screens, job title creation, EEO-1, VETS 4212, verification of employment (VOE), E-Verify, direct deposit, HR invoices, employee life cycle updates, etc.
  • The HRDS team may also perform duties in support of payroll, benefits, HR technologies, workers compensation, unemployment, and other areas as required by the support needs generated by client growth.
  • Handles basic to complex HR questions, researches and retrieves information, documents work in our case management system, and responds in a timely manner in accordance with departmental SLAs and KPIs.
  • Completes requests with a high degree of accuracy, adheres to departmental procedures, and within required timeframes.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; consults with internal Compliance and HR teams to review policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Proactively communicates with G&A Partners’ client support teams on client related activities.
  • Follows up with clients regarding their requests and closes the loop when the request has been completed.
  • Maintains working knowledge and assists with utilization and maintenance of human resource information systems (HRIS) and G&A technologies, to include but not limited to time and attendance, labor management, payroll, and new hire onboarding systems.
  • Compiles and prepares reports and documents pertaining to human resources activities.
  • Provides advice and guidance to clients on Human Resources related issues.
  • Partners with other teams to complete more complex HR requests and or projects.

Other Duties:

  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices and regulatory changes in human resources and employment law.
  • Provides support to the Unemployment team as needed; including responding to wage audits, processing state separation notices, or any other function needed by the UI team.
  • Records client-related activity in our Customer Relationship Management software as required.
  • Assist with all general administrative functions within the Human Resources department.
  • Consistently interacts with others in a professional manner.
  • Participates in process improvement efforts sharing creative ideas to optimize efficiency and client experience.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education:

  • A bachelor’s degree and 1 year of experience of working in Human Resources, or 3-5 years of Human Resources experience, is required.
  • Knowledge of HR federal laws and regulations is required.
  • Desire to continually enhance and expand HR knowledge.
  • Ability to easily switch between a wide variety of tasks and balance competing priorities in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, professionally and in a friendly manner verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to quickly learn several complex web-based systems.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across all organizational levels and departments.
  • Desire to work as a team with a result driven approach.
  • Outstanding customer service skills.
  • Strong detail-oriented and resourceful mindset.

Computer Skills:

  • Proficiency in Excel Spreadsheet software and Microsoft Office suite is required.
  • Knowledge of Client Relationship Management (CRM) systems preferred.
  • Knowledge of Prism or related HRIS preferred.
  • Experience on the utilization of human resource information systems (HRIS) required.

Salary

Starting wage is $19/ hour

The starting range represents the low and high end of the G&A Partners’ range for this position. Actual wages will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of G&A’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include commissions, annual bonuses, and program specific rewards. In addition, G&A Partners provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability, flexible spending, ancillary benefits, retirement savings plan, paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO).
