Summary

 

As an Accounting Manager you will be responsible for managing and performing comprehensive accounting services for a group of our clients with support and direction from the team’s Controller, and in collaboration with Senior & Staff Accountants. This is a full-cycle accounting role where you will be the point person on several engagements, working directly with clients across a variety of sizes and industries.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary liaison for a group of clients.
  • Supervise and mentor staff accountants.
  • Review weekly and monthly deliverables prepared by staff and senior accountants for accuracy.
  • Prepare standard and non-standard journal entries.
  • Review, analyze, and reconcile general ledger accounts.
  • Prepare and review budgets and track variances with actual.
  • Prepare and distribute weekly and monthly client financial reports within specified deadlines.
  • Coordinate monthly financial review meetings and present financials to a group of clients.
  • Ensure compliance with US GAAP and firm accounting policies
  • Support complex accounting concepts such as revenue recognition, accruals and equity transactions.
  • Identify and escalate accounting issues to the Controller
  • Identify process improvement opportunities

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and 5+ years of accounting experience, with a strong preference to outsourced accounting experience.

Skills & Experience

  • Excellent people, customer service, organizational and presentation skills.
  • Extremely detail oriented and focused on completion, follow up and review of others’ work.
  • Strong collaboration, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability and desire to multi-task and take on multiple projects with competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent work habits and self-motivation.
  • A passion for building and being part of a team.

Computer Skills

  • Experience with a variety of accounting systems is preferred.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks is required.

Salary

Starting wage is $85,000 to $95,000

The starting range represents the low and high end of the G&A Partners’ range for this position. Actual wages will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of G&A’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include commissions, annual bonuses, and program specific rewards. In addition, G&A Partners provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability, flexible spending, ancillary benefits, retirement savings plan, paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO).
